‘Chicago’ to hit T.O. stage

‘Chicago’ to hit T.O. stage

The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical "Chicago" will take the stage of the Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza for eight performances from Sept. 11 through 16. Tickets on sale now at the box office are priced from $30.50 to $36.50.

The 1920s-era musical is the kiss-and-tell tale of Roxie Hart, a nightclub singer; Velma Kelly, a dancing jailbird with an ear for headlines and an eye for talent; and Billy Flynn, the cagey lawyer who turns Roxie and Velma into Vaudeville celebrities.

This "hotbed of jazz and passion" was made famous by director/choreographer Bob Fosse and the songwriting team of John Kander and Fred Ebb.

Performances are 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays; 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays; 2 and 7 p.m. Sundays. To charge tickets, call (805) 583-8700.
