In memory of Leo Evans

Leo M. Evans, 88, died Aug. 2 after a battle with cancer. Born May 30, 1913 in Brantford, Ontario, he was a former furniture retailer, educator and lecturer.

He’s survived by his wife Joyce, children and grandchildren: Stuart Evans, Bradley and Jennifer; Judy and Harris Steinberg, Brian and Jason; Lori and Gray Becker and Carly.

A memorial service is planned for Sept. 9. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent in Evans’ memory to the Los Angeles Audubon Society, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90046.

Evans was pictured in the Aug. 2 issue of The Acorn because he and his former wife had remarried.
