Student Art Exhibit is Scheduled for Sun., Aug. 18

Clay Studio and Gallery is hosting their first student art exhibit from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 18 at 1861 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Clay Studio and Gallery teaches all levels of hand building and wheel throwing classes for children and adults.

Their goal is to encourage creativity, educate in the arts, and make sure participants have fun.

The art exhibit will highlight artwork created by both children and adult students. There will be functional artwork displayed created on the potter’s wheel, and hand-built artwork created by using coil and/or slab constructing methods.

Everyone is invited to the opening event. Snacks and beverages will be served. There will also be a drawing held in which the winners will receive a free "Create Your Own Masterpiece" class. For more information, please call Esther at (805) 370-1544.
