Storytime helps children

Children about to enter kindergarten this fall and their parents are invited to attend one of three special storytime programs at 10:30 a.m., 2 or 7 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 23 at the Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Each of the three 30-minute programs features stories, rhymes and fingerplays specially designed to ease first-day jitters and lead new kindergartners to books, reading and school fun.

The program is free but reservations are required and children must have a valid Thousand Oaks Library System card to attend.

Parents should register their child for just one of the sessions offered.
