Garden artists win awards
      Students at Carden Conejo School of Westlake Village racked up numerous awards in the Pentel International Art Contest, competing against more than 3,000 students nationwide and more than 280,000 worldwide contestants. Each winning Carden artist received a certificate, art supplies and a medal. The gold medallists will have their artwork exhibited in a tour across the U.S. that will make a stop at Carden Conejo School in April 2002.

      Lisa Zaman Odom, daughter of Mike and Claudia Zaman of Calabasas, is the recipient of the 2001 Julia Gehm Graduate Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation Scholarship. The $3,850 award is given in recognition of her high academic achievement and fraternity and community involvement.
