Make your own bird feeder

Los Angeles Pierce College Extension is offering a class designed to help participants create a beautiful hard-shell gourd bird feeder. Participants will use paints, markers, dowels and leather to transform a plain hard-shell gourd into a whimsical creation that will grace your backyard for years to come.

Instructor Sally Rosenberg, BA, has been a freelance artist for 25 years and is a member of the California Gourd Society.

The class is offered from 9-11:30 a.m. on Fridays, July 6 and 13. The registration fee is $33 plus a $10 material fee.
