A local business, Canyon Cycle (5076 Chesebro Road, Agoura), hosted its second annual "Run for the Kids" ride on June 3 to help raise money, awareness and toys for the youngest victims of cancer More ... While I was strongly opposed to cityhood for Calabasas, and voted against it because I knew it would add another layer of unneeded government which would ultimately result in higher taxes, I was unaware that it would immediately result in a 5 percent utility tax, until after the fact. More ... I am responding to the letter by Mark Rackow and would like him to know there are many of us who support his use of drought-tolerant plants. Also, it takes much more thought and creativity to plant grasses, salvias and groundcover than it is to lay sod. How can anyone find more beauty in a boring lawn?
