JOG-A-THON––A.E. Wright Middle School Principal Mary Sistrunk, left, and physical education department chairwoman Jean Flemion pose with 11-year-old Melissa Gross, top fundraiser for last week’s 23rd annual Jog-A-Thon. Melissa, a sixth grader, was credited for bringing in pledges of $1,000. Each of the school’s 1,700 students ran for 18 minutes during their scheduled physical education class. Proceeds will help fund a variety of A.E. Wright’s Parent Faculty Club activities. |
