Learn about comic book art

Los Angeles Pierce College Extension is offering a chance for young students to create their very own comic books. The class will teach how to design and create heroes, characters or villains. Participants will learn about the tools used by professionals in the field to write a story for various characters.

Instructor Vincent Van Groenou has worked professionally as a freelance illustrator.

"Comic Book Art" will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. (ages 9-12) and 10:30 a.m. to noon (ages 13-16) on Saturdays, Feb. 24 through March 31. Registration fee is $47 plus a $3 supply cost.
