Tango has been called "the eternal battleground between a man and a woman––it is the definitive act of love, in stylized form."

Witness the fireworks for yourself at 8 p.m., Wed., Jan. 31 when the Argentine dance musical "Tango Pasion" plays the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

The production, which features the gaucho, ocho and boleo steps, introduces the audience to pure traditional tango in Act I and offers a more contemporary approach in Act II, with couple solos and ensemble numbers.

The repertoire covers 100 years of tango, Argentina’s native dance, that some regard as "a metaphor for all emotions."
