Calabasas resident named regional president
Mark L. Beisswanger
The Ryland Group (NYSE:RYL) recently announced that Mark L. Beisswanger of Calabasas has been promoted to president of the company’s West Region homebuilding operations, succeeding Frank J. Scardina.
Beisswanger has more than 14 years’ experience in the homebuilding industry.
He joined Ryland in September 1999 as vice president of the West Region, responsible for the company’s homebuilding operations in the greater Los Angeles area, and he played a key role in the planning and directing of the company’s overall strategies in the West Region.
A graduate of UCLA, Beisswanger earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics in 1982 and his CPA in 1985. He previously worked for Alpine Capital, L.L.C., Kaufman and Broad Corporation, and Price Waterhouse.
With headquarters in Southern California, Ryland is one of the nation’s largest homebuilders and a leading mortgage-finance company. Founded in 1967, the company currently operates in 19 markets across the country and has built more than 170,000 homes and financed more than 150,000 mortgages.
