Activities to take place at temple

Each month, Temple Aliyah at 6025 Valley Circle Blvd. in Woodland Hills offers a variety of ongoing Shabbat and Minyan services and special events to members and the community at large for participation and enrichment.

Dedicated to the perpetuation of the Conservative movement of Judaism, Temple Aliyah has served the needs and concerns of the West San Fernando Valley Jewish community for more than 36 years. For detailed information about the Temple’s many programs available, please call (818) 346-3545.

A sampling of its November calendar of events follows:

Junior Congregation: Sat., Nov. 18 at 10:15 a.m. A special shabbat service geared especially for elementary school-aged children.

Lunch & Learn: Join Rabbi Vogel for his discussion group about the upcoming Torah text; meets Thursdays, Nov. 23 and 30, from noon to 1:30 p.m., in Selma Lubin Hall. For details, call Barbara at (818) 346-3545.

Tot Shabbat: Sat., Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. Special service in the Kurland Family Chapel filled with fun and cheer with a child’s mind in mind.
