About 25 juveniles got loud and disturbed other customers at McDonald’s at 10:40 p.m. Oct. 14. When told to leave, a male, 16 or 17, removed indoor plants and threw them on the floor of the dining area. Another suspect then tried to grab the cell phone of the manager who was trying to call police. The suspect departed the restaurant and got into a dark Honda with five other juveniles and they left the location. Damage was $50. Calabasas On Oct. 11 or 12, two notebook computers valued at $3,600 were stolen from a trailer at Viewpoint School. No signs of forced entry were noted. A male, 36, resisted arrest for failure to obey a stop sign and was taken into custody on Parkway Calabasas, south of Park Entrada, at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Oak Park At 8:30 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 5800 block of Oak Bend Lane, unknown suspect(s) stole a Nokia 5160 cell phone from a vehicle, a loss of $100. Westlake/T.O. Between 6 a.m. Sept. 26 and 1 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 2100 block of Basswood Street, unknown suspect(s) vandalized property by cutting wires to a sprinkler system. Damage was estimated at $5. On Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. in the 2200 block of Waterby Street, unknown suspect(s) set an undescribed object on fire. At 1:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in the 4700 block of Valley Spring Drive, unknown suspect(s) stole a green with oak leaf and "North Ranch Country Club" flag valued at $270. At 3 p.m. Oct. 13 in the parking lot behind Verizon Wireless at 121 N. Westlake Blvd., unknown suspect(s) broke into a locked vehicle and stole two Homelite two-cycle gas-powered red and white weed trimmers, a pink and white two-cycle gas powered Aiwiwia weed trimmer, an orange Homer tool box, a plastic weed trimmer string, six pairs of cotton gloves, six bags of Homelite two-cycle fuel mix, one pair of wire cutters and 16 Gator weed trimmer blades. The loss was estimated at $1,004. Westlake Village The doorlock of a Via Colinas business was damaged ($100 loss) and $51,000 worth of motorcycle parts, a motorcycle engine and two computers were stolen. The burglary occurred between Oct. 14 and 16. Someone forged a check for $1,250 on the account of a Westlake Village woman on Aug. 28. |
