Serving in Uniform

Marine Corps Pvt. Evan Amarni, son of Marsha Amarni of Agoura Hills, recently completed basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. He’s a 1998 graduate of Agoura High School.

Geoffrey Dietrich, the son of John and Susan Dietrich of Thousand Oaks, has graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. as a classmate of the academy’s Class of 2000. He received a bachelor’s degree and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army.

Navy Airman Daniel Albino, son of Kathryn Reed of Thousand Oaks, recently returned from a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean and Arabian Gulf while assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 147, embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis.

He’s a 1999 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School.

Edwin Alvarez-Morataya, a 2000 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School, has joined the U.S. Army under the Delayed Entry Program. The son of Juana Vasquez of Thousand Oaks has reported to Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Mo., for basic training.
