Pie fest coming

Malibu United Methodist Church will host its 11th annual Malibu Pie Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 14 at the Malibu Country Mart.

The day’s festivities include face painting, coloring contests and apple bobbing for children; a pie-eating contest; and a silent auction with numerous celebrity-themed items, gift certificates and gift baskets from area merchants and much more.

Volunteers are sought to help out at the event, or to bake and donate a pie, or contribute items for the auction.
