Youth acting workshops offered in Agoura

The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services is accepting registration for its Acting Workshop series, open to ages 7-17. Classes are from noon to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Feb. 3, offered in four-week sessions; each four-week workshop series is $60.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn a variety of acting skills including: acting for the camera; voice over; fencing/stage combat; stage makeup; technical theatre.

Also available to youth ages 7-17 is the Junior Repertory acting program from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays through Feb. 2. Participants will learn the arts and crafts of the theatre and the program will culminate in production of a full-length play.

The cost is $195 for returning students, $220 for new students.

All acting classes will be at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
