Volunteers needed for Hollywood Christmas Parade

The 69th annual Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sun., Nov. 26 is seeking volunteers to assist with this festive production.

The two-mile parade begins at the Chinese Theater and ends at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Held from 6 to 8 p.m., it brings spectators and broadcast viewers up close to stars of television, film, music, theater and radio as they deliver personal greetings thanking fans and supporting charitable endeavors during the holiday season. The parade also features classic cars, floats, top U.S. high school marching bands, equestrian units and more.

Volunteers, who need no previous experience or special skills, must be at least 21.

They’ll be required to attend a one-hour orientation on Sat., Nov. 25 and work six to eight hours on Sun., Nov. 26.

For their time and help, volunteers will receive a celebrity souvenir program, a commemorative pin and a special gift, as well as an invitation to a thank-you party at Universal Studios in January.
