Retired executives needed to help new business owners

The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) is seeking volunteers to help new business owners get started on the road to success.

The organization offers free consulting services for start-up and existing businesses, as well as entrepreneurs.

A seminar on starting and operating a new business is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 7 at Oxnard College.

The Ventura Chapter, which meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Monday each month, includes members from Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Camarillo, Oxnard and Simi Valley.
