Reeds expands warehouse capacity

Brisk business at its recently opened store in nearby Agoura Hills has sparked Reed’s Furniture to lease an additional 30,000 sq.ft. of warehouse space at 2651 Lavery Court in Newbury Park that will triple its storage capacity.

The new warehouse is a free-standing building featuring dock-high loading, 22 feet interior clearance and ample parking.

Merv Einbund of Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services in Van Nuys reports that Reed’s will occupy its new warehouse this month.

He represented Reed’s in the three-year lease valued at $550,000 and Eric Behike of NAI Capital Commercial represented CF Investments, the property owner.

Early this summer, Reed’s opened a new 61,000 sq.ft. retail store adjacent the 101 Freeway on the north side of Canwood Street between Kanan and Cheseboro roads. About 10,000 sq.ft. of that facility is devoted to warehouse. Westcord’s Einbund also represented Reed’s in that transaction.

Another office will open soon in Valencia.
