Cops seek public’s help in jewelry burglaries

Capt. John O’Brien of Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspect(s) wanted for high dollar loss burglaries. Most occurred between January and August.

Burglaries have occurred in gated and non-gated areas of Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Westlake Village. Similar thefts have been reported, too, in the North Ranch area of Thousand Oaks.

Only expensive jewelry has been stolen; less expensive and costume jewelry is left behind.

The suspect(s) are neat and orderly, cautious about fingerprints and usually enter the back of the house, which often abuts open space. The burglaries usually occur during early evening hours.
