The traveling troupe, Shakespeare by the Sea, will present "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" on Sun., Aug. 6 at Peter Strauss Ranch, 30000 Mulholland Highway at Troutdale Drive in rural Agoura.

The play, a lighthearted look at desire, confusion, assumptions and romance, is filled with dazzling fairies, feuding lovers, bumbling clowns and elegant rulers.

Sponsored by Shakespeare by the Sea and the National Park Service, the 2 to 4 p.m. performance is free to the public.
