Club awards scholarships, reorganizes

Westlake Village Garden Club has announced that support of its garden tours enabled the club to award three $1,000 scholarships to Derek Flynn, Justin Kephart and Chad Toves of Ventura College.

New officers of the Westlake Village Garden Club for the 2000-2001 year have also been appointed.

They are: Diane Cigich, president; Mary Lu Single, first vice president; Rondi Kitchen, second vice president; Catherine Fowler, recording secretary; Renate Martin, corresponding secretary; Molly Zimmermann, treasurer; Dorie Vinik, tour treasurer; and Marilyn Castan, historian.

The club will be meeting on the first Tuesday of the month (resuming on Oct. 3) at the Oak Forest Mobile Estates clubhouse in Westlake Village. New members are welcome.
