Ranger honored for DUI effort

Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) recently recognized selected peace officers and prosecutors from throughout California for their outstanding work in combating driving under the influence (DUI). The special awards banquet was in Sacramento.

Local state Park Ranger Tony Hoffman was one of the officers honored at the program.

Hoffman was recognized for his long-term commitment to the prevention and apprehension of drunk drivers in the Malibu area. He received a special plaque from MADD for his outstanding efforts. Hoffman was the only ranger in the Southern California area to receive this award.
