Summer brochure available

The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA) presents a wealth of recreational opportunities during the summer months.

To help individuals and families with choices of fun events to participate in, there’s the "Summer 2000 — Outdoors in the SMMNRA" brochure.

This free calendar of events contains more than 300 listings of ranger or docent-led activities for July, August and September.

Sporting a new fold-out, detachable map and directions page, the calendar also offers safety and hiking tips, and the telephone numbers for 29 other partner organizations in the mountains and more.
