Crime Watch Agoura Hills Crime Watch Agoura Hills While a victim was gone five to 10 minutes to warm his coffee, he left his office unlocked around 3 p.m. June 12 in the 5100 block of Clareton. When he returned, a laptop computer valued at $3,500 had been stolen. A possible suspect [white male (5-8 or 5-9, 140) with black hair, a moustache and wearing a black baseball cap with white logo, sunglasses, a white T-shirt and long dark shorts] was described. An SUV was broken into ($150 damage) at Willow Elementary School between 5:30 and 7:15 p.m. June 9 and a purse, wallet, cell phone, cash and pager were stolen (an additional loss of $1,200). A West Hills female, 36, was arrested for drunk driving at 1:50 a.m. June 10 at Agoura and Kanan roads. For drunk driving, a Bellflower male, 52, was at 8:55 p.m. June 11 arrested near Kanan and Roadside Drive. Between 7 and 11 p.m. June 9, a cell phone was stolen from a victim in the 5600 block of Foothill Drive. The loss was $280. A male tried to shoplift $175 worth of goods from a supermarket in the 5700 block of Kanan Road at 6:10 p.m. June 9. The suspect fled and left the items in a shopping cart when a witness confronted him outside the store. A mailbox had $150 in damage after vandalism between 1 and 8 a.m. June 11 in the 6200 block of Timberlane.
Calabasas Jewelry totaling a loss of $2,625 was stolen from a home in the 22100 block of Dardenne Street during the past year. The victim said the items might have been stolen during one of several social gatherings. At eastbound Calabasas Road at El Canon, a Sherman Oaks female, 34, was at 10:30 p.m. June 9 arrested for drunk driving. At 12:30 a.m. June 10, a Calabasas female, 53, was arrested for drunk driving on Las Virgenes Road north of Mureau Road. A city of Westlake Village female reported that she lost a cell phone while in Calabasas between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 11. The device was valued at $200. A mailbox for the third time this year was vandalized in the 3900 block of Declaration. The most recent incident occurred between 8 and 10 p.m. June 9 and damage was $100. Between 4:30 and 7 p.m. June 4, a cellular phone valued at $99 was stolen in the 26600 block of Agoura Road.
Oak Park Between June 9 at 4:30 a.m. and June 11 at 9 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered a home in the 900 block of Thistlegate Road and stole two white gold rings, three 14 carat gold Herringbone style chain necklaces in 22- to 24-inch lengths, a three-strand intertwined fresh water pearl necklace, hoop pearl earrings to match and two bracelets. Total estimated loss: $1,695.
Westlake Village A ring valued at $22,000 was stolen from a home in the 2800 block of Three Springs Road between June 1 and 9. There was no indication that the home had been forcibly entered. Clothing, tools and a necklace totaling a loss of $2,000 were stolen between April 1999 and June 12 in the 4000 block of Whitesail Court. Damage at a business was $900 after authorities responded to a burglar alarm in the 30800 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard at 1:20 a.m. June 11. A dark colored watch cap (similar to a stocking cap) was entered as evidence. A cell phone valued at $200 was reported missing at 6 p.m. June 11 in the 1400 block of Country Ranch Road.
Westlake/T.O. At 8 p.m. April 8 at the east campus of Los Robles Hospital (100 block of E. Via Merida), unknown suspect(s) stole a two-carat diamond solitaire ring worth $12,000. On June 7 at 11:30 p.m. at the 3100 block of W. Adirondack Court, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and stole one slide calipers valued at $150. At 8 p.m. June 8 in the 900 block of Sandpiper Circle, unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal an AM/FM radio by entering the vehicle via an unlocked door. At 11:10 p.m. June 8 in the 600 block of Triunfo Canyon Road, unknown suspect(s) broke a window of a locked vehicle and damaged the ignition while attempting to steal the vehicle. Damages were estimated at $500. At Yucatan Cantina in the 3800 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on June 10 at midnight, unknown suspect(s) stole a black Nokia cell phone from a victim’s unzippered purse. Unknown suspect(s) entered a locked vehicle at the 900 block of Westlake Boulevard on June 11 at 4 p.m. and stole a black leather shoulder strap-style purse, an Olympus 35mm camera, a Dooney & Bourke black leather with tan trim wallet, gold frame Calvin Klein prescription lens sunglasses and a Cross black with gold trim pen and pencil set.
