Vendors sought for event

In celebration of Arbor Day and Earth Day and the city of Thousand Oaks’ 40th birthday, the city will be hosting its seventh annual Arbor/Earth Day Celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., April 17 at a new location: Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road, behind the Thousand Oaks Library.

The event is described as an "environmental festival of fun for the whole family" and will feature more than 100 eco-vendors, exhibitors and artists in addition to kids’ activities. Live stage entertainment will be provided by Dr. Wilderness, GTP and the Hotsteppers and the Raven Drum Arts. Additionally, the celebration will host the tidepool cruiser, live animal shows, paper-making, a kids’ art-a-thon and recycling centers, park rangers and more. There will also be recycled books, crafts and clothes for sale and many new technology vehicles on display.

The city welcomes eco-friendly vendors and exhibitors who promote a healthy, prosperous and sustainable environment and/or non-toxic products and services.
