Vote for Thomas

I am supporting George "Chris" Thomas for the Agoura Hills City Council this November. I went to school and played football with Thomas at AHS and can personally attest to his commitment and dedication to this community. Even though Thomas is only 26 years old and represents a new generation, he has been working towards bettering our quality of life and improving the area for years.

Thomas worked for the local congressman from 1997-2001, spending two years back in Washington, D. C., working on Capitol Hill. Now what other candidate can say that? He also hosted a political talk television show here in the Conejo Valley, discussing the issues facing our community with local leaders such as mayor of Calabasas James Bozajian and former Ventura County Supervisor Frank Schillo.

Thomas has opposed the Ahmanson Ranch development since day one and is an environmentalist in the truest sense of the word. Purchasing more open space and ensuring Agoura Hills remains rural is his main concern. He also announced if elected this November, he would serve for only a $2 bill, donating $3,598 back to the community.

Thomas is dedicated to transportation issues, including finding additional revenue to pay for fixing the 101-Kanan interchange. He traveled back to Washington, D. C. to lobby for additional federal funding for projects in Agoura Hills and uses public transportation Monday through Friday going to and from work.

I believe Thomas is the best choice for the Agoura Hills City Council. His qualifications are unmatched, and his dedication to our community is unwavering. I have known Thomas for more than 10 years, and his service in politics and government is commendable. This Nov. 4 I urge all of the residents of Agoura Hills to join me in voting for George "Chris" Thomas for city council.
