Kuperberg,
Rishoff endorsed

The CPO (Cornell Preservation Organization) has grown to appreciate those members on the Agoura Hills City Council who have acknowledged and at times acted on the advice and research provided by this organization of concerned citizens. It is more rewarding to have decision makers in Agoura Hills who are receptive to saving habitat, restoring creeks and reigning in developers so that these same builders give us better projects that enhance our neighborhood, not overcrowd it or pave over it.

Unfortunately there are times at council meetings when our popularly supported environmental positions are ignored by some council members. The vote might favor a developer’s "high profit" design when the community favors just a better project. Council members have at times rejected the position of our nearly 800 homeowner group, nearly tripping over themselves in a rush to approve high density developments requiring large heritage oak removal.

It is critical that the planning commission and council hold development to a higher standard in Agoura Hills and for this reason we are heartened by the often welcoming words provided by Councilman Dan Kuperberg. More than once he has come to our defense and championed our view of what to build and how to build it. Dan has delicately reminded sometimes deaf ears, that the CPO positions deserve attention and that the Council should take notice.

We want Dan Kuperberg reelected.

Though Steve Rishoff is a newcomer to public office, he has made himself available on several occasions to answer our inquiry and field questions from our membership. He remains true to Agoura Hills’ original charter of slow, controlled growth, environmental stewardship and open space preservation. You have to love a candidate who rolls up his sleeves, brings his tractor to Creek Clean-Up Day and donates in a full day’s work beautifying our community of greater Agoura.

Vote for Steve Rishoff too.
