Kuperberg sued his own citizens

Apparently, Councilman Dan Kuperberg is not telling the truth in many of his campaign statements for reelection. I would like to set the record straight.

I particularly find it interesting that Mr. Kuperberg claims strongly that he was against the Home Depot in Agoura Hills.

It’s simply not true. Not only did Mr. Kuperberg lend his name as a strong endorser on all of the mailed "pro-Home Depot" political materials, he filed a malicious lawsuit against the backers of Measure H who were working hard to stop the Home Depot from coming into Agoura Hills.

I understand Mr. Kuperberg, to this day, refuses to say who paid his expenses to file this lawsuit against the citizens of Agoura Hills who were exercising their right to circulate a petition.

But this manipulation of the truth doesn’t surprise me.

As former Deputy in Charge of the District Attorney’s Office at the Van Nuys Superior Court where I worked for over eight years, I had many opportunities to work with Mr. Kuperberg, who also works there as a public defender.

Kuperberg has said that his lawsuit was meant to protect the city’s right to control land-use issues, not as a means to move forward on Home Depot.
