Council to blame
for Oak Creek

There’s something about the Oak Creek development and the city council’s reaction to it that reminds me of the way they got so hysterical about Measure H, which prevented them from approving a Home Depot in Agoura Hills.

It seems that the Oak Creek project sneaked in under the radar when we were all so focused on preventing a big box store from being built down the street from our new city hall and library.

There are still so many unanswered questions about Oak Creek and the defensiveness you feel from the members of the city council about it that it makes you wonder what’s going on here.

Dramatically more students, more traffic, more pressure on police and fire response times, and a cushy land deal made with the developer.

No wonder they’re defensive.
