Summer Wine Festival coming

Westlake Village Inn will host its inaugural Summer Wine Festival on Sun., Aug. 25 on the Inn’s lushly landscaped grounds at 31943 Agoura Road, Westlake Village.

The day’s festivities will include food and wine tastings, culinary demonstrations by the Inn’s executive chef, Ray Swanson, and Le Café’s executive chef, Robin Nishizaki; live music; prizes; and even a traditional grape stomp.

Guests, who must be a minimum of age 21, are encouraged to bring a blanket to relax and enjoy the scenery, which includes a small lake and meandering streams and fountains in addition to extensive colorful gardens.

Wineries expected to participate include Robert Mondavi, Byron, Franciscan, Simi Estancia, Ravenswood, Callaway, William Hill, Clos du Bois, Beringer, Chateau Souverain, Meridian, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, Villa Mt. Eden, melville Estates, Firestone, Kendall Jackson and Saddlerock Vineyards.

Tickets are $75 per person, all-inclusive, and reservations may be made by calling (818) 889-1662. A portion of the festival ticket price will be donated to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade to help in finding a cure.
