Bar and Bat Mitzvahs celebrated Zachary Levin, son of Lynn and Mark Levin of Agoura Hills; Sequoia Middle School honor students Ben Iker, son of Steve and Sharon Iker of Oak Park; Miles Yim, son of Keith and Kerri Yim of Newbury Park; and Drew Abrams, son of Mara and Gary Abrams of Newbury Park; Medea Creek Middle School students Kyle Benton, son of Bob and Beth Benton of Oak Park; and Max Hirsch, son of David and Anne Hirsch of Oak Park; Drew Adams, son of Mara and Gary Abrams of Newbury Park. Recently becoming Bat Mitzvah at Temple Adat Elohim were: Samantha Jacobs, daughter of Susan and Eddie Jacobs of Oak Park and seventh grade student at Medea Creek Middle School; Lindero Canyon Middle School student Michelle Kislak, daughter of Nancy and Todd Kislak of Agoura Hills; and Redwood Middle School honor student Sarah Shain, daughter of Paula and David Shain of Thousand Oaks. Megan Johnston was recently called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah at the Center for Early Jewish Education in Thousand Oaks. She is the daughter of Leslie Wise of Agoura Hills and a seventh grade student at Lindero Canyon Middle School who has attended CEJE for three years. After completing CEJE religious school through the seventh grade and becoming Bar and Bat Mitzvah, second-year students who recently celebrated their confirmation included Marcus Cohen, Max Master, Matthew Schwartz, Amanda Spindel and Hilary Srole. Members of Temple Etz Chaim of Thousand Oaks who recently celebrated their Bat Mitzvah at the temple include Elise Kahn, daughter of Debi and Bob Kahn of Thousand Oaks who is a seventh grade honor student at Los Cerritos Middle School; Jessica Jacoby, daughter of Scott and Debbie Jacoby of Agoura Hills and a seventh grade honor student at Lindero Canyon Middle School; also Samantha Harrison, daughter of Daylene and Richard Harrison of Westlake Village, who will enter the eighth grade at Colina Middle School. |
