Arraignment postponed

The former principal at Oaks Christian Middle School accused of having sex with a minor younger than 14 has been released from jail on $250,000 bail.

Jonathan Andreas, 36, was arrested at a Thousand Oaks residence on July 20 and charged with 15 counts of felony lewd conduct with a 13-year-old female student.

Douglas Ridley, Ventura County deputy district attorney, said Andreas’ arraignment was continued until Aug. 6.

Despite Ridley’s concern that Andreas might be a flight risk, Ventura County Superior Court Judge Kevin McGee reduced the $500,000 bail by half.
