Local graduates excel in college

Rebecca Chang of Westlake Village, a student in the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall quarter of the 2001-2002 academic year. Students on the Dean’s List have attained a grade point average of at least 3.70/4.0.

Pam J. Hughes of Agoura was awarded a bachelor of general studies degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She graduated in Dec. 2001.

Jessica A. Greenblatt of Westlake Village, a sophomore majoring in business management at Clark University in Worcester, Mass., participated in the Habitat for Humanity International Collegiate Challenge: Spring Break 2002.

Collegiate Challenge is a year-round program involving more than 10,000 students from more than 450 colleges and universities, high schools, and youth groups who forego more conventional spring break vacations in order to improve low-income housing. Greenblatt is the daughter of Penny Greenblatt and Sam Greenblatt of New York City, and is a 2000 graduate of Viewpoint School.
