Los Robles executive named chair-elect of health care group


Robert C. Shaw

Robert C. Shaw, president and CEO of Los Robles Regional Medical Center, was recently voted chair-elect to the board of the hospital council of the Healthcare Association of Southern California.

In this position, he will help direct the executive committee in setting policy, establishing goals and maintaining the integrity of the mission and vision statements for the entire hospital council, which incorporates eight separate regions throughout Southern California. Each region is represented by a local top healthcare official.

Serving on the board since 1997 and the executive committee for the past five years, Shaw has assisted the council in creating a common vision, unity and consensus on public policy and health reform among its members and the broader healthcare community.

Shaw has more than 20 years’ experience as a hospital CEO and administrator with extensive emphasis in operations management, design of specialized services, managed care systems and integrated network development.
