Club makes the cut

Conejo Valley Garden Club members will present their annual "Cutting Day" event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., March 23 next to the Sav-on in Thousand Oaks, at the corner of Janss and Moorpark Roads.

Club members will be sharing free cuttings, bulbs and plants from their gardens as a public service to the community. They will also be available to provide advice about planting and growing the plants as well as information about membership in the club.

Among the plants usually available are geraniums, iris, ferns and succulents plus more exotic plants, trees and vines that have been taken as cuttings, divisions or seedlings from members’ gardens.

The club has presented "Cutting Day" annually for more than 20 years in the Conejo Valley. It is one of the club’s major projects.

For more information, please call Valarie Neel, event chairman, at (805) 495-2304.
