Oak Park parent doesn’t want
to wait for school bus safety belts

Calabasas library to get a new home

      Calling it "the most landlord-oriented lease that I have ever seen," Calabasas City Councilwoman Lesley Devine voted with City Councilman Michael Harrison against a contract to lease a 12,000 square-foot space to temporarily house the city library.

Referendum battle begins to take shape

      Both sides involved in the Agoura Hills Home Depot dispute have stepped up their war of words in what’s become a full-blown public relations battle over big-box stores in the city. Last week, the Agoura Hills City Council reluctantly agreed to place a citizens’ referendum on the March 5 ballot that seeks to limit large retail stores to no larger than 60,000 square feet.

Early deadlines
      Christmas and New Year’s Day will force the Acorn newspapers into early deadlines for the issue dates of Dec. 27 and Jan. 3. Basically, all deadlines advance by 24 hours. Real estate deadlines for Dec. 27 and Jan. 3 editions will be noon, Thurs., Dec. 20 and noon Dec. 27 respectively. Noon Fri., Dec. 21 (for the Dec. 27 edition) and noon Fri., Dec. 28 (for the Jan. 3 edition) are the deadlines for display advertising.
