Parents have stepped in and donated food and time to give the Oak Park Football team three meals a day during summer practice; along with sandwiches, the parents serve Gatorade, bagels with cream cheese and numerous kinds of fruit. According to Bobby Amaro, the athletes have already consumed more than 1,000 gallons of water. Nicole DiBene-Gorger, 8, and her mother, Jamie, look at the class list for the new school year at Yerba Buena Elementary School in Agoura Hills. Nicole is in third grade.
