CHS student wins fair award

Alyson Shor, a sophomore at Calabasas High School, earned this year’s Adah Callahan Professional Art Award, presented by Peggy Kroener, head of the Youth Department at the Ventura County Fair.

This special achievement award is given to the most promising high school artist and is also the only cash prize award presented up through the high school level. Shor also displayed three additional oil paintings, which were awarded blue ribbons. She attends the Michael Ward Art Studio.
