Calabasas student attends U.S. Naval Academy seminar

Jordan V. Flacco, son of Mary M. and Nicholas L. Flacco of Calabasas, recently participated in the U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar in Annapolis, Md.

He was one of 1,500 high school students selected out of an applicant pool of more than 5,000 students based on his academic record and extracurricular activity.

During the six-day seminar, Flacco attended eight academic workshops, participated in daily physical training, a marching drill competition, sports, seamanship and sailing programs, and learned about the academy’s character development program and values.

An annual program, the seminar is designed to introduce high school seniors to the academy, an undergraduate institution.
