Sheriff’s blotter A security cable had $10 damage and two kayaks, a gas barbecue, a chainsaw, circular saw, microwave oven, tools and a weed whacker were stolen from a patio and a home under construction on Triunfo Place between April 18 and Aug. 11. The loot was valued at $808. The window of a Jeep Grand Cherokee was smashed ($200 damage) and a backpack, wallet and cash were stolen. The loot amounted to a loss of $170 and the burglary occurred in the 2800 block of Triunfo Canyon Road the afternoon of Aug. 18. Another SUV was burglarized during the same time and at the same location (the Vasa Park parking area) and the total loss was $480. A housekeeper is a possible suspect after birth certificates and passports valued at $245 were stolen from Triunfo Drive between July 2 and Aug. 16. Agoura Hills Damages to a Ford pickup door and doorlock were $3,000 and a ladder, socket set, music CDs and credit cards were stolen (a loss of $725). The burglary occurred on Aug. 19 or 20 on Lewis Road. Three or four white juveniles were seen running from the scene and toward Reyes Adobe Park after firecrackers ignited at 10:05 p.m. Aug. 18 on Goodsprings. A mailbox had $40 damage. Two white males, 14-16, are possible suspects after a witness saw them attempting to remove the emblem of a Honda car at 2:08 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 28800 block of Conejo View Drive. Calabasas A fax machine and computer were stolen ($775 loss) from a Las Virgenes Road business between Aug. 17 and 20. No signs of forced entry were observed. A bench seat of an unlocked Ford Expedition was stolen on Hobson Court. The theft ($350 loss) occurred on July 20 or 21 and was only recently reported. An unsecured bicycle was stolen ($115 loss) from a garage area in the 5700 block of Las Virgenes Road between Aug. 13 and 17. Westlake Village Earrings valued at $6,000 were stolen from a Beaconsfield Court home between Aug. 5 and 18. There were no signs of forced entry and a cleaning maid is a possible suspect. From an unlocked vehicle, a CD case and 200 music CDs were stolen. The $2,620 loss occurred on Agoura Road on Aug. 21 or 22. Use of a herbicide caused $350 damage to two pepper trees and a rose bush on Lake Pleasant Drive on Aug. 17 or 18. |
