Adamantly opposed to the Home Depot

As an Agoura Hills resident, I am adamantly opposed to the proposed Home Depot project. Not only because of the traffic nightmare that would ensue from such a project, but also because a Home Depot type of establishment will certainly turn our quaint community into another noisy, traffic-laden town similar to the one I escaped from in the San Fernando Valley.

Another issue to consider will be the noise associated with the trucks delivering merchandise to Home Depot at all hours of the morning and night. Not to mention the constant road damage associated with the heavy truck traffic flow on Agoura Road, which truck traffic will also certainly pose a risk to the many cyclists who use this road every day.

Interestingly enough, most of the individuals that I have spoken with who favor this project do not even live in Agoura Hills; what will certainly be a convenience to them, will undoubtedly be a thorn in the side of the Agoura Hills residents whose property values will diminish, who will have to contend with nightmare traffic jams, and whose community will lose the country/rural flavor that so many have come to love and treasure.
