Business executives know the SCORE

SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives, offers a monthly series of workshops and seminars designed to help new business owners and operators conduct their businesses successfully.

Staffed by volunteers, all of whom have retired from successful careers as owners or executives in a wide variety of businesses, SCORE also offers free one-on-one counseling at its Glendale headquarters and at many of the Chamber of Commerce offices in Los Angeles County.

The fee for each of the following workshops is $20 payable at the door. Except where noted otherwise, all workshops are held at the SCORE conference room, 330 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale.

Getting Financing for your Business Seminar: Mon., Sept. 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Starting and Operating Your Own Business Workshop: meets Tues., Sept. 11 from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the SBA Business Information Center, 3600 Wilshire Blvd., Suite L-100, Los Angeles.

Promoting and Protecting Your Invention Workshop: meets Wed., Sept. 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Starting and Operating Your Own Business Workshop: meets Sat., Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5121 Van Nuys Blvd., 3rd floor, Van Nuys.
