Trying to outrun autism

It’s a miracle the way young people with autism are able to find their way in the world.

Autistic children have such poorly developed verbal and non-verbal communication skills they can barely associate with others.

For the victims of autism – about one out of every 500 people – relating to the outside world becomes an everyday struggle that often results in frustration and withdrawal. Some children with the condition are severely affected while others seem close to normal.
