Warriors bend but don’t break in tie vs. T.O. Lancer girls The Westlake girls’ soccer team remained undefeated when it tied Thousand Oaks 1-1 in a game played at Westlake Monday. Special to The Acorn The Agoura Chargers girls’ basketball team wraps up the 2000-01 season tomorrow by hosting the Westlake Warriors in a 7 p.m. game in Agoura Hills. This comes on the heels of last week’s game when the Lady Chargers took their 15-8 overall, 5-5 Marmonte League record to Newbury Park High to play a tough Panther team. More...

Oak Park girls beat La Reina to take first place in league The Oak Park girls’ soccer team defeated La Reina last Friday, 4-3, in a game played in Thousand Oaks. The win was the second of the season against the Regents. Last year, the Eagles and La Reina shared the Tri-Valley League championship. Oak Park’s most recent win over the Regents should secure another title for the Eagles. In the win, Courtney Crane scored two goals for the second time this year vs. La Reina. And Amy Poyer, who didn’t play most of the game due to bronchitis, tallied the winning goal. More...
