Calabasas passes new laws on home additions, new housing in Highlands, Topanga

LVUSD names Jordan as new board president

      The Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) Board of Education appointed Judy Jordan to a third term as president of the board during a reorganization last week. Jordan, 60, has been on the school board for 11 years and served as president in 1992 and 1996. She replaces outgoing president Charlotte Meyer.

      The Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays on the next two Mondays are forcing The Acorn Newspapers into early deadlines. Space must be reserved by noon tomorrow, Fri., Dec. 22 for all display and classified advertising in the Dec. 28 edition. Our office will be closed both Mon., Dec. 25 and Mon., Jan. 1.
