Sheriff’s Blotter Damages were $300 to fences and a utility truck after an apparent burglary in the 5300 block of Lost Hills Road that was discovered at 11:36 p.m. Dec. 2. A private security guard called authorities when he observed evidence of a theft. The victim was the L.A. County Sanitation District and it was unknown initially if anything was stolen. Agoura Hills The storage room of a garage was burglarized in the 28000 block of Dorothy Drive between Nov. 3 and Dec. 2. Dining room chairs valued at $7,200 were stolen and a crowbar and windbreaker discovered at the site were entered as evidence. DVD players, cigarettes, disposable cameras, film and padlocks were stolen from a supermarket. The $4,795 loss occurred between 4 and 10 p.m. Nov. 28 in the 5600 block of Kanan Road and two possible suspects may have driven away in a late ’90s white Chevy Tahoe. The loss was $1,553 after footballs, jerseys, soccer shorts, a ball bag, soccer balls and mini handball pumps were stolen from Agoura High School. The theft occurred on Oct. 23 or 24 and the incident was only recently reported. A van’s door had $300 in vandalism damage after it was scratched on Colodny Drive sometime before 9 a.m. Dec. 1. Damage was $300 after a Toyota pickup was scratched on Yankee Drive between 2 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 2. The window of a U-Haul van was smashed on W. Penrod Drive the night of Dec. 2. Damage was $300. The loss was $125 after a man’s wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at a home improvement store in the 28000 block of Agoura Road around 11:30 a.m. Dec. 2. Calabasas The doorlock of a camper shell was damaged and a mountain bike valued at $4,500 was stolen between midnight and 6:45 a.m. on Ludgate Drive on Nov. 27. At Calabasas Country Club between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 2, a purse, two wallets, cash, sunglasses and credit cards were stolen from an SUV (a loss of $3,755). Some of the items were recovered at Sherwood Country Club in the Westlake portion of Thousand Oaks. The person who found the items notified the victim who then realized that her vehicle had been burglarized. Women’s apparel and jewelry valued at $1,949 were stolen from a retailer in the 23500 block of Calabasas Road between 9 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Dec. 2. Oak Park Between Nov. 18 and Dec. 5 in the 6400 block of E. Bayberry, unknown suspect(s) stole jewelry valued at $925. On Nov. 28 or 29 in the 6600 block of Oak Forest Drive, unknown suspect(s) stole four wheels from a car (a loss of $1,200. On Dec. 3 at noon at the Brookside School at 165 N. Satinwood, unknown suspect(s) vandalized 10 nameplates by breaking them into several pieces. Damage was estimated at $200. At 4:15 p.m. Dec. 4 in the 300 block of Anrio Way, unknown suspect(s) stole a purse, a camera, a pair of Calvin Klein reading glasses, a wallet, an organizer, a makeup bag, two pair of black and white pearl earrings set in gold and 29 pearls in a white plastic baggie. The loss was estimated at $3,015. Westlake/T.O. Between January and July 1999, a male, 60, from Westlake Village embezzled $3,133.33 from Coldwell Banker Town & Country. According to police reports, the suspect knowingly and unlawfully used corporate credit accounts to purchase personal items including a book on diabetic recipes, a wooden tissue box, a cast iron cow trivet, a burgundy rug and a windchime. At 8 p.m. May 18 in the 4700 block of Valley Spring Drive, unknown suspects stole from a locker a Lady Cobra yellow and white golf bag , golf clubs and a kid’s size tan and brown golf bag containing child size golf clubs. The loss was estimated at $1,900. Between 2 and 5 p.m. Nov. at a business in the 2700 block Townsgate Road, unknown suspect(s) stole a box containing china from a company van parked in front of the store (a loss of $1,800). Between Nov. 27 and Dec. 4 at a business in the 2500 block of Townsgate Road, unknown suspect(s) stole a floor sander from a warehouse. The loss was estimated at $2,000. On Dec. 2 at 8 a.m. at a veterinarian’s office in the 3500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., unknown suspect(s) vandalized a vehicle by scratching the passenger’s front window with an unknown object causing $200 in damages. At 11 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the 4300 block of Valley Spring Drive, unknown suspect(s) smashed a windshield of a vehicle using a small statue and caused $800 damages. Westlake Village No signs of forced entry were visible, but a purse, briefcase and cash were stolen from a vehicle. The burglary occurred between 1 and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in the 4700 block of Lakeview Canyon and the loss was $650. Damage was $65 from vandalism of an air conditioner and graffiti on Sherwood Drive the afternoon of Dec. 1. The victim told deputies that she’s been the target of vandalism on previous occasions. |
