Children’s holiday celebration to take place at Workmen’s Circle

The Workmen’s Circle/Arbeter Ring will host its annual Khaneke party at 2 p.m., Sun., Dec. 17, at the Workmen’s Circle Center, 1525 S. Robertson Blvd., Los Angeles. This year’s theme, "Khaneke 4 Kinder (of all ages)" means the doors are open to children of all ages to enjoy this most festive of seasons.

Participants are invited to bring a Menorah and candles for "a ceremonial lighting to commemorate the universal fight for freedom and to brighten our lives." Volunteers will be on hand to lead the activities, including cookie baking and latke making.

Besides the traditional dreydl spinning, guests will be requested to spin a personal tale of Khaneke-past. Admission is free for children 17 and under; $7 for ages 18 and up, or $5 for Workmen’s Circle members.

For more information and to RSVP, please call (310) 552-2007.
