Rufener represents the people

I have lived in the Watergate Homes section of Westlake Village for 26 years. I know Ken Rufener very well. I know his dedication and concern for the city and his tireless work with the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District.

I felt appalled when I read Mr. Glen Longarini’s weak effort to discredit the turnaround accomplishments of the past four years with the LVMWD.

While inflation for the greater Los Angeles area rose 7.3 percent over the past four and a half years, water rates have stayed level.

The water quality meets or exceeds all public health standards. No problem with MTBE, chromium 6, arsenic.

"Exceptional grade" compost offered free to any district resident every Saturday morning.

Increased reclaimed water sales, thereby conserving precious potable water.

You bet I will vote for Ken Rufener. I suggest you do the same.
