GETTING READY TO SING - After six years of rehearsing in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park, the Agoura Hills Harmony Chorus is back in Agoura Hills. The 77-member chorus rehearses at 7:15 p.m. every Tuesday at Sumac Elementary School. They're always looking for more members to join in the fun. Lake Sherwood expansion plan gets approval

The Ventura County Planning Commission voted 4-0 last week to approve construction of a new 18-hole golf course, 24,000 square-foot clubhouse and 100 homes at Lake Sherwood Country Club. Despite opposition from homeowners and several public agencies, the project goes before the Ventura County Board of Supervisors Aug. 8 for final approval. More...
